Heavy Duty Close Ratio Racing Gears

These gears are manufactured to the highest standards. They are made from fine grain vacuum melt steel, heat treated, put through a cryogenic process, and then shot peened.

To calculate MPH in any gear:                RPM X TIRE HEIGHT              = MPH
                                               GEAR RATIO X RING & PINION X 336

To calculate RPM in any gear:    MPH X GEAR RATIO X RING & PINION X 336   = RPM
                                                                      TIRE HEIGHT 

Note: Remember to do all the individual multiplication functions first before dividing the numerator (top value) by the denominator (bottom value).  Use this formula for each of the forward gears.  This will also allow you to produce a very useful gear chart.

  LE 87 CHROMOLY PINION BEARING RETAINER Heavy duty, retainer for 4 bolt style pinion bearing. Chromoly retainer will not flex like stock cast one. 
LE 88 CHROMOLY PINION NUT Heavy duty, secures late pinion bearing in case. Will not fail under sudden hard acceleration.
  LE 110 RHINO CASE Heavy duty case with many additional ribs. Purchase with LE 110A bolt kit.

IRS TYPE 2 LIMITED SLIP DIFFERENTIAL 

 

Fits all 002, 091and Vanagon transaxles (002 requires conversion kit). Made in USA of the finest materials. If you want to really hook-up get the ultimate in LSD technology utilizing planetary gear design (no clutch pack). Complete with diff bearings. You break it we'll replace it!
